-Fragmented Echoes of a Non-Static Cartography-

Oil on Wood. 2024. 120 x 80 cm

Fragmented Echoes of a Non-Static Cartography explores the idea of cartography as a living, evolving structure rather than a fixed representation of space. Curved and linear forms intertwine with vibrant planes of color, creating an open composition in which the eye moves freely without settling on a single focal point.

Vivid reds, electric blues, and luminous yellows establish a dynamic visual field where color functions as a structural force rather than a descriptive element. Layered transparencies and opaque passages generate depth, suggesting overlapping strata that evoke traces of memory in continuous transformation.

Rather than depicting a map, the painting offers an experience of navigation through a shifting landscape where space, time, and material remain in constant dialogue. Each element acquires meaning through its relationship with the others, inviting the viewer to engage in an open process of discovery. The work becomes a visual territory that resists fixed interpretation, unfolding instead through movement, perception, and the continuous emergence of new connections.

This work was selected for the 2025 Abstract Art Exhibition of the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors (AEPE).
